perfect location for downtown Vancouver, very helpful staff, clean, and great value.
Location is great. Good value and perfectly reasonable facilities. No frills but you wouldn't expect any for £60 per night in the heart of the city.
My room smelt a little musty and the shared bathrooms really need updating. But it was all clean (on the surface!) and convenient.
The Kingston Hotel Bed & Breakfast location is very cosy. It is near the many shopping buildings-Pacific centre, Winners, Sears and the ski-train station called "Vancouver City Centre" (Canada line). There are Vancouver Art Gallery, Queen Elizabeth Theatre and Christ Church Cathedral...
The breakfast is poor.
I loved that it was conveniently near everything. The staff was super warm and friendly.
Nice staff, cozy rooms, clean.
it was clean and it was good to have a sink in the room
breakfast could have been better
Very central, only some steps away from Granville St. Nice staff.
Rooms are small and there's a smell of old carpets in the hotel.
Location to the main city centre and the price
Better parking facilities
Location was great for the money and the staff were very nice!
Beds against the wall making it hard to get comfortable in the full size bed.
I loved the history of the building as it has been in Vancouver for a very long time. The room was quiet and we ate at the kingston tap and grille and the food and service were both excellent! I will be booking at the hotel again in September 2011.
There is no parking and parking in Vancouver is $21/day. I moved my car to meter parking after 10pm because it's free and then had to get up in the morning to plug the meter.
Super friendly staff helped assist with parking
The bathroom was busy in the early morning hours
Good location, and convenient for the Skytrain from the Airport. Helpful staff.
Lobby and breakfast room were well decorated, the rooms are a little tired though - but balanced against the price and location essentially you get what you pay for. I'd stay there again.
Fantstic Location! Clean, Friendly, Breakfast, bed made every day. Just great. Right in the heart of the city - not noisy though.
Only one computer with internet so another one would work well
I enjoyed the fact that we could park the car during most of our stay in Vancouver and walk to most everything.
The site needs to indicate that the hotel has no parking lot of it's own and you have to pay additional for parking off site.
The Irish girl in the breakfast room was charming.
My first room had a leak over the bed-when I told the desk clerk he didn't appologize for the inconveniance of having to move my luggage again and didn't seem too concerned my first impression of the Hotel was a maintenance problem. My second roon had very poor quality and ugly bedding(duvet cover) and when I removed it and turned down the sheets there was a black hair on the white sheet-creeped me out like maybe the sheets were not washed from the previous guest. Unfortunately the room I was moved to was beside a young family with two small children that cried through out the night! When I was going to the concert(my reason for the trip to Van.) and I was looking forward to it,the desk clerk commented that she saw Rhiannan last week and she was a much better performer- deflating my enthusiasm immediately! Lastly, when I saw the bill I caught an error that was over charging me! All this together, I'd say I had the worst hotel experiance I've ever had in N. America.Hmm- now one more wrong thing, I'm coming back to this section as I see the booking mentioning my name and city below also has incorrect info on my booking- I was a single with private bathroom....
